The holidays are coming!!!
Ahhhhhh! Has it really been a whole week since my last post?! I am such a slacker!
Well lets take it back to Thanksgiving. Jenn had everyone over to her house for turkey with all the trimmings...including cranberry sauce shaped like a can :) Grandma and Grandpa Ardito, Paula and Gary, Jill, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bill, and cousin Emily were all in attendance, so it felt like a real family Thanksgiving. My green bean casserole was a hit, as well as Jill's homemade cheesecake. Please to enjoy pics :)
Jill and I had to get home early and head to bed so we could get up at 4am and head to Circuit City. That's right, we got sucked into the Black Friday hype...sad, I know. We got to Circuit City at 4:45am, 15 minutes before the store opened, and no joke, the line to get inside was already 300 people deep!! We were disheartened at first because we thought there was no way we were going to get what we needed, but to our surprise, the line moved very quickly, and we were able to nab some good deals. I got a 1 GB SD memory card and a 1 GB USB storage device for $2.99 each (ok, ok, after mail in rebate which sucks, but when those rebates do come in 4 months later, it's such a nice surprise!) The thing I did miss out on was a digital picture frame for only $50! Stupid me grabbed the wrong one because someone had switched the boxes around! Drat, foiled again!
Jill tried out a new device for attaching lights to the roof this year, but it ended up not working, so looks like it's the old faithful ladder and staple gun trick.
After the outside was taken care of, it was time to trim the tree. For those of you that know Jill, you know she is an ornament freak. We easily put up over 100 ornament on the large tree...most of them of the Star Wars persuasion. Jill also has several more large containers of Christmas paraphernalia that she exchanges out with normal stuff, like dishes and towels, stuffed animals and whatnot, but it looks like I will have to do that all myself this year. Jill got some bad news yesterday...her Grandmother is not expected to make it through the week :( She left yesterday for NY to be with her. Poor girl. They are very close. I've met her grandmother and she is a strong and wonderful woman. She has obviously done something right because she is surrounded by so much loving family. Let's all cross our fingers and hope for the best!
On a lighter note, Nina is expected home this week! It is her birthday this Thursday, so lets hope she makes it by then! COME HOME NINA!!

This weekend was almost exclusively saved for Christmas decorating. First things first, though...it was that time of year to decorate the cats. Jill bought a nice blue furry coat that ended up fitting on 3 out of the 4, so poor Chloe, Randy, and Alcor had to appease their crazy owners for about a half an hour.
